Black Mountain College: Intersections Across the Arts

Explore the magic of Black Mountain College and take home practical applications for the schools of today and tomorrow.

Project Connect 2018 is a three day conference hosted by Asheville School, bringing together educators from all over the country to provide both inspiration and practical application in interdisciplinary studies. The 2018 conference will focus on the unique history of Black Mountain College and its approach interdisciplinary studies.


Wednesday, June 20th - Friday, June 22nd, 2018


The conference will take place on Asheville School‘s 300-acre campus in West Asheville


Participants will arrive Wednesday night in time for a dinner and keynote address given by Mary Emma Harris, one of two scheduled keynote speakers for the 2018 conference in Asheville.

On Thursday, participants will have the opportunity to attend morning and afternoon workshops, and a second keynote address will be given. The fun continues Thursday night with dinner in downtown Asheville and a special performance by workshop presenter, Kathleen Meyers Leiner.

Friday morning, conference participants will take a field trip to the location where Black Mountain College campus once stood and go on a walking tour led by Mary Emma Harris
