Anni Albers: Touching Vision
The enduring influence of Black Mountain College travels to Europe this fall, in the form of a current exhibit of the work of Anni Albers. The exhibit of her weaving is on display at Guggenheim Bilbao, in Bilbao, Spain and runs into December. The show explores Alber’s legacy as a textile artist from her time as a teacher, alongside her husband, Josef Albers, in the 1930s and 1940s at Black Mountain College. The Albers both left the college in 1949.
This exhibit is dubbed by the UK’s Guardian newspaper, one of the “ten best art exhibitions in Europe Fall 2017.”
